  1. Whatcha readin’? I have several going right now–Tony Horowitz’s book on John Brown, and a sociological study by Abigail Suguy called “What’s Wrong with Fat?” and some others I haven’t touched in a while.

  2. In the past few months, I have read Barbara Kingsolver’s “Flight Behavior,” John Green’s “An Abundance of Katherine’s,” “The Fault in Our Stars,” and “Looking for Alaska,” Amanda Coplin’s “The Orchardist,” Anthony Doerr’s “Memory Wall” (short stories), Kate Atkinson’s “Left Early, Took My Dog,” Jonathan Raban’s “Bad Land.” Just started “To End All Wars” by Adam Hochschild.

    • Yes. I think you would enjoy Kate Atkinson. Start with “Case Histories.” The one I just finished is #4 featuring the same detective.

      • I’ll have to look for that. I’ve been reading Mary Russel novels by Laurie King (set in WW1 era, she’s a woman who becomes Sherlock Holmes’s sidekick). And I just read the most recent Maisie Dobbs novel.
